RSA – Responsible Service of Alcohol THHBFB09B (Nationally Accredited)

 

If you work, or are looking to gain employment in the Hospitality Industry and may be involved in the sale or supply of alcohol at licensed premises, then you should complete the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course.

Liquor Laws also require those below to complete an annual RSA refresher training course.

RSA training is compulsory for:

  • Persons that are at any time managing, or controlling a store with a packaged liquor licence
  • Persons working in licensed premises that trade past 1:00am and has amplified music
  • If you are the licensee of a premise

Topics covered in the course include:

  • Alcohol and the Law
  • Problems associated with excessive consumption
  • Responsibly serving alcohol
  • Handling difficult customers

The course is conducted at our Bowen Hills facilities in Brisbane.  The RSA course is scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday between 6:00pm – 9:00pm.

Cert II in Security Operations (Cert II)

 

The Security Licensing course is set out to train you to become a Security Guard and Crowd Controller for such areas as Hotels, Night Clubs, Gaming Venues, Office Buildings, Shopping Centre Security, Factories, Building Sites, Mobile Patrol Officers, Static Security Guard sites, Sporting Events, Loss Prevention, Entertainment Centres and the like.

You will be instructed in how to recognise the most common offences and how to deal with them in the correct manner.  The course content includes, teaching proper arrest procedures, understanding the proper levels of ‘Use of Force’, verbal communication skills, OH&S, basic security tasks, first aid (level 2) dealing with intoxicated persons and how to work in a security team.

  • Security and the Law

We will assist you in the Security Licence Application process and will also assist all successful applicants to obtain employment in the Security industry.

Our Cert II courses are conducted at our Bowen Hills facilities in Brisbane and run each fortnight, Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

First Aid

 

The First Aid course is a nationally accredited certificate obtained through flexible learning in a one day workshop.

The aim of the course is to develop a student’s competence and confidence in providing emergency first aid.  This includes calling for help, the ability to respond to first aid situations, casualty assessment, decision-making, and basic life support functions including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  This course covers adult and child conditions.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • Apply life support skills
  • Apply first aid management skills for burns
  • Demonstrate the identification and management of bleeding and wounds
  • Describe the recognition and management of internal bleeding
  • Manage an emergency (Basic)
  • Apply first aid management skills for bites, stings and poisoning
  • Manage an acute illness
  • Describe the recognition and management of an eye injury
  • Manage hypothermia
  • Describe the basic structure and function of the human body
  • Apply first aid management skills for chest, abdominal, pelvic and head injuries

Our First Aid courses are conducted at our Bowen Hills facilities in Brisbane and run each fortnight.
